“I DReam B.I.G. because I know that with dreams and hardwork, anything is possible. I believe that I have everything I need to accomplish my DReams. Every morning I repeat Phillipians 4:13 as an affirmation that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” – Elijah Lawson, 2019 DDJ Scholarship Recipient
“I DReam B.I.G. because I know that I can accomplish anything I really want to. I want to be a leader and for me to do that, I need to have the mindset only a leader would have. I can see what I want to do and I know that there is no other way to do it, than to work hard for it. I dream big because it challenges me to see what I can really do, and if I achieve what I was looking for, I know that I can dream even bigger and push myself much more further” – Kiana Williams, 2019 DDJ Scholarship Recipient
“I DReam B.I.G. because one day when I become a psychologist, I will be able to help people overcome their triumphs and have dreams of their own. The goals I wish to achieve in my life only require big dreams, nothing small. I also feel that me dream big will assure that in the future nothing will stand in the way of me living the life I want to live. I believe that you should dream or go home.” – Mikayla Stacker, 2019 DDJ Scholarship Recipient
“I want to be a doctor because growing up was very tough, my siblings and I went through a lot of health problems… I want to help people who struggle with disabilities and health issues. I want to help people with things they thought they would never get help with.” – Janai Davis, 2019 DDJ Scholarship Recipient
“As a youth, I always knew I was meant to do great things such as lead the way for others. Once I developed the role of a role model to others, I knew that I had to dream big and shine bright so they could do the same. Small, basic dreams don’t mean much because anybody can do something that doesn’t require a challenge or true effort, but big dreams show character. Besides wanting to spark change, I want to make my village proud so I have to dream big and achieve even bigger.” – LaNiyah Lee, 2019 DDJ Scholarship Recipient
